Steve is a licensed hydrogeologist and engineering geologist whose work includes environmental site assessments, remedial investigations, regional groundwater studies, wellhead protection projects, transportation route feasibility studies, critical area assessments and infiltration testing. His clients include local municipalities, civil engineering firms, development companies and state agencies. An accomplished project manager, Steve currently manages GeoEngineers’ on-call contracts with Pierce County, King County and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Steve loves to golf, and has been instrumental in ongoing work on the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington, where the US Open Golf Tournament was held in 2015. This project involved many of Steve’s practice areas, including slope stability analysis, subsurface exploration, stormwater infiltration and geotechnical design services for various course structures.
When Steve is not at work, it’s no surpise that he often finds time for a golf game at at Chambers Bay or other courses. He’s an enthusiastic participant in GeoEngineers’ company golf tournaments as well, and is a fan of biking, traveling and skiing.
