Seamus is our man on the ground at geotechnical project sites. He spends a lot of his time observing and documenting construction on behalf of our clients, making sure geotechnical recommendations are followed properly.

“I love to be outside,” Seamus says, “and I’m fascinated by how we as humans interact with the natural world.”

Seamus graduated from The State University of New York College at Geneseo in Spring of 2020 before moving to Washington State looking for a career. It wasn’t long before Seamus and GeoEngineers found each other, and now he gets to have a direct hand in some of the most exciting development and transportation projects in the region.

“We do work that is practical, it keeps people and buildings safe as we develop structures for all kinds of different clients,” Seamus says. “I always wanted to work a job like this that has visual, short-term results.”

When Seamus isn’t working at one of our job sites, he’s probably watching a movie, catching a concert, or having fun in the mountains. He enjoys hiking, skiing, climbing, rafting, and foraging—but occasionally leaves the mountains behind to do some surfing!
