Osmar is our “boots on the ground” at projects in North Carolina and beyond. As a member of our pipeline team, Osmar focuses on trenchless pipeline installations and associated services for industrial and energy clients. His geotechnical sampling and site investigations help us understand site conditions and create appropriate designs. Osmar is also a critical link between our engineers and contractors during construction. He observes pipeline installations and other activities to make sure design specifications are followed and the client’s interests are protected.
“My father worked with plumbing,” Osmar says. “I became very interested in pipe systems and even worked with pipes myself. Eventually, I decided to pursue higher education that would allow me to work in such an area, but on a larger scale.”
This initial interest and work experience led Osmar to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. After graduating in May 2023, Osmar got his start in trenchless construction with jack and bore installations for sewer and water systems.
In 2024, Osmar joined GeoEngineers and brought his years of hands-on expertise to our team. He takes pride in his ability to effectively communicate project requirements and translate them into actionable plans that clients and contractors can agree on. He’s looking forward to continued learning and growth—and eventually a PE license!
In his free time, Osmar enjoys spending time with family and friends. His weekends frequently feature cookouts or gatherings to watch MMA, boxing, or soccer matches. You might also find him at the gym himself, if he’s not traveling to discover new places and foods!
