As a member of our river science team, Kaylan’s work has a direct impact on natural systems across the Pacific Northwest. He conducts field assessments, performs hydraulic modeling, and helps design sustainable stream crossings and bridges that allow fish to access critical upstream habitat. No matter the project, Kaylan’s engineering and natural resources experience work together as we balance human needs and environmental priorities.

Kaylan’s experience is broad and multidisciplinary, including engineering design, stormwater management, environmental remediation, abandoned mine reclamation, natural resource monitoring, water treatment, and fish passage projects. He works with local municipalities, state and federal agencies, and private developers to restore and protect the natural systems on which we depend.

“As an outdoorsman, I look forward to protecting and restoring river systems so that future generations can enjoy nature the way I have,” Kaylan says.

In his free time, Kaylan is often hanging out on or near the water he works to protect. He enjoys hiking, fly-fishing, and river rafting—and there’s nothing quite like floating peacefully in a pristine mountain lake!

We want you on our team.
