Jeff is a senior hydrogeologist based in our San Diego office. He studies and manages groundwater systems, helping clients understand how water moves below the surface, where it comes from, and how to use or protect it responsibly. Jeff leads field investigations—including drilling, sampling, and aquifer testing—and uses numerical models to simulate groundwater flow, supporting everything from construction dewatering and water supply development to stormwater infiltration and contaminant transport.

“What continues to inspire me is the opportunity to solve complex environmental challenges using data, analysis, and critical thinking,” Jeff says. “And to do so in a way that protects natural resources and supports sustainable development.”

Jeff brings two decades of experience to his role, shaped by time in both the private and public sectors. He spent 12 years in consulting, working on environmental and geotechnical projects across the Pacific Northwest, followed by 8 years as a Senior Geologist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. There, he managed federal projects and supported architect-engineer contracting, gaining valuable insights into the full project life cycle.

“One of the most valuable aspects of my background is the breadth of experience I bring from working in both consulting and federal agencies,” he explains. “That dual perspective helps me design practical, results-focused solutions tailored to each client’s needs.”

Jeff is passionate about mentoring junior staff and excited to help grow GeoEngineers’ San Diego presence, especially through federal work. His long-term goal is to strengthen our technical capabilities while continuing to deliver high-quality, impactful groundwater solutions.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys hiking, skiing, and running—but these days, much of his free time is spent raising three energetic boys.

“I never imagined I’d spend my weekends at skate parks or bowling alleys,” he laughs. “One outing even ended with a trip to the ER after a bowling mishap. It’s chaotic, fun, and never boring—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

We're driven by our values.
