As a staff geotechnical scientist, Chelsie prepares field reports and conducts geotechnical analyses including slope stability, bearing capacity, and settlement studies. Chelsie helps determine how soil and rock will respond under different conditions—critical information for managing risk.

“Being from south Louisiana,” she says, “I always knew I wanted to do work to help restore the coast.” This inspired her to pursue a career where she could contribute to sustainable solutions. During her time at Louisiana State University, she participated in research at the Center for River Studies, where she focused on soil deposition strategies to help combat coastal land loss.

At GeoEngineers, Chelsie values collaboration and professional development. “My most valuable skill is being eager to learn and willing to ask questions,” she explains—a mindset that supports her continued development. She looks forward to expanding her responsibilities over time and pursuing her PE.

Outside of work, Chelsie enjoys rotating through a wide array of hobbies. She spends her time working on jigsaw puzzles, crafting, juggling, solving Rubik’s cubes, playing pickleball, and reading.

We're driven by our values.
