In order to better serve clients in the heart of the Willamette Valley, GeoEngineers has established a new office in Salem, Oregon. The office will provide a variety of services to the local market, focusing particularly on development, transportation and public works.
Principal Geotechnical Engineer Julio Vela is heading the office. Vela brings more than 20 years of experience with large development and retail projects, as well as bridges, high-rises and complex ground-improvement projects.
An office in Salem provides clients south of the Portland metropolitan area and in the South/Central Oregon Coast region with convenient access to GeoEngineers staff, along with more responsive and local project management. Vela is pleased by the increased opportunities to work with consultants and existing clients in the Salem area, local county and city offices, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
“It’s definitely an advantage for some clients to access our services from this office instead of Portland. It enhances our service reach for our existing clients with projects and offices in the south and central Willamette Valley as well as in central Oregon and the coast,” said Vela. “I’m looking forward to increasing our visibility and participation in the architect and engineering community here in Salem as well.”
