Ester Rogel Featured in Vernier’s Women in STEM Spotlight

Ester Rogel, an environmental compliance specialist in our Portland, Oregon office, was recently featured by the Vernier Science Education blog as part of the company’s Women in STEM series.

“It felt great to be chosen as a woman in STEM and to be featured alongside two other successful women scientists,” Ester says. “My goal in the interview was to address the many different routes STEM can take you. You might choose one profession but walk into many others.”

Originally a wildlife field researcher, Ester transitioned into environmental compliance to address critical water quality issues affecting ecosystems and communities. Today, she helps industrial and commercial clients reduce pollution by navigating complex environmental regulations and using data-driven solutions.

“I want young women entering this field to know that they can always learn something new—STEM crosses so many paths that can lead to impactful and fulfilling work,” Ester says.

Her story is a testament to the real-world impact of environmental science and the passion that drives our work at GeoEngineers. Congratulations on this spotlight, Ester—and thank you for inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers!

We want you on our team.
