The Nashville Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recently selected Geotechnical Engineer Alicia Sellers as secretary. Alicia is continuing her commitment to ASCE in Nashville after years of active involvement in the Baton Rouge Branch.
In 2019, Alicia’s volunteer work was recognized with Outreach Awards from the Baton Rouge Branch and Louisiana Section of the ASCE. She helped organize and conduct educational workshops and tours for local schools—encouraging students to consider engineering and STEM careers. The outreach program was a cooperative effort between Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) and ASCE. Alicia’s dedication to ASCE and student education also earned a 2020 Outstanding Young Civil Engineer Award from both the Baton Rouge Branch and Louisiana Section.
