Federal Services

Earth science and engineering solutions that mitigate risk, optimize designs, and keep mission-critical projects moving for federal agencies, stateside and beyond.

GeoEngineers’ experienced technical experts provide our federal clients with a unique set of skills and services that promote sustainability and mission success. Our team has 1,400+ federal projects under its belt, 45 years of experience working for federal agencies, and local staff and expertise across the United States, and stretching into the Indo-Pacific.

We bring decades of experience working with agencies, including the U.S. Navy, NAVFAC, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Air Force, along with a deep understanding of the unique requirements that come with federal delivery. Our federal clients count on us to deliver an integrated suite of environmental, geotechnical, construction-phase support, seismic design, ground improvement, waterfront and marine infrastructure, and other specialty services, to meet and achieve their land management, transportation, and defense agency missions.

Department of Defense Agencies

GeoEngineers supports Department of Defense missions with the technical depth, responsiveness, and risk-aware thinking required for complex military infrastructure projects. Our engineers and scientists collaborate closely with owners, primes, and design-build teams to deliver practical solutions that support schedule, budget, constructability, and mission readiness. From airfields and runways to waterfront facilities, dry docks, utilities, training areas, and resilience upgrades, our teams help DoD clients move projects forward with confidence.

Indo-Pacific Reach

GeoEngineers’ Guam office and growing presence in the Indo-Pacific support mission-critical infrastructure in one of the nation’s most strategically important regions. We are building a durable local presence that combines local responsiveness with the full strength of our technical teams on the mainland.

Our partnership-first approach is designed to complement local firms, strengthen pursuit teams, and bring added capacity to a market where demand for experienced federal partners remains high. As federal investment continues to grow across the Pacific, GeoEngineers is positioned to help agencies and contractors deliver resilient, reliable solutions that reflect both local conditions and long-term mission needs.

Port and Marine Services

GeoEngineers supports federal agencies and defense contractors with port and marine infrastructure solutions that help advance mission-critical projects in challenging coastal environments. Our teams bring the technical experience to support the planning, design, and construction of military waterfront facilities, logistics infrastructure, and other high-priority maritime assets.

We work alongside owners, primes, and design-build teams to reduce geotechnical and construction risk, improve constructability, and support long-term performance in demanding conditions. Our experience includes foundations, ground improvement, seismic considerations, waterfront geotechnical design, and construction-phase support for projects where schedule, reliability, and mission readiness are essential.

Alternative Project Delivery

GeoEngineers brings a contractor-minded approach to design-build, progressive design-build, CM/GC, and other alternative delivery projects. We engage early with owners, prime consultants, contractors, and estimators to identify subsurface and environmental risks, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical designs that reflect how the work will actually be built.

Our integrated geotechnical, environmental, natural resources, and construction design services help teams make informed decisions as designs and cost models evolve. By working collaboratively and responding quickly as conditions change, we help reduce uncertainty, improve constructability, and protect demanding federal schedules and budgets.

Land Management Agencies

GeoEngineers helps federal land management agencies balance public access, infrastructure needs, environmental stewardship, and long-term resilience. Our multidisciplinary teams support projects in remote, environmentally sensitive, and geologically challenging settings—from national parks and wildlife refuges to rivers, forests, shorelines, and former military properties.

We bring together geotechnical engineering, geology, river science, ecology, hydrogeology, environmental remediation, permitting, and infrastructure planning to solve interconnected challenges. Whether restoring habitat, responding to contamination, stabilizing slopes, improving roads and visitor access, or evaluating aging infrastructure, we develop practical solutions tailored to the land, its users, and the agency’s stewardship mission.

PFAS Experience

GeoEngineers helps federal clients understand and manage the evolving risks associated with PFAS and other emerging contaminants. Our environmental scientists, engineers, geologists, and hydrogeologists support projects from initial records review and conceptual site modeling through sampling, investigation, risk evaluation, remediation planning, and regulatory coordination.

Because PFAS can move through complex soil, groundwater, surface-water, and sediment systems, successful investigations require careful planning and a strong understanding of contaminant fate and transport. GeoEngineers combines that scientific depth with practical environmental remediation experience to help clients characterize impacts, evaluate response options, and make defensible decisions as regulations, analytical methods, and treatment technologies continue to evolve.

We're driven by our values.
