The marketing coordinator supports the department’s senior and specialist-level staff to advance a wide array of business development, marketing, and communications initiatives. Coordinators will apply their skills to the marketing opportunities and tasks of both their geographic location and
companywide initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the proposal team to strategize and prepare persuasive qualifications materials including resumes, firm profiles, project descriptions, and interview materials.
- Support the business development team to enhance and grow existing client relationships, identify potential new business opportunities, and build strategic teaming relationships.
- Support the communication team to prepare and organize marketing materials such as brochures, project sheets, boards/presentation collateral, social media content, and advertisements.
- Support senior technical leaders to track individual pursuits, follow up with teaming partners, and review published Requests for Proposals.
- Support and coordinate client-outreach activities such as conferences, presentations, professional organizations, and special events in close collaboration with marketing and technical team members.
- Support the maintenance of marketing organizational systems.
- Support other general marketing and office functions on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in marketing or related field, or combination of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with organizing, editing, and preparing long documents.
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of InDesign preferred. Familiarity with Illustrator and Photoshop is a bonus.
- Strong verbal and written communication, writing, editing, organization, and market-research skills.
- Proven ability to interact with clients and staff professionally and respectfully.
- Ability to work effectively with teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of initiative, effectively meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., prolonged sitting and regular walking, bending, standing and reaching.
- Ability to perform consistent work on a PC with prolonged view of a monitor/screen.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Our best estimate of the salary for this position, located in Baton Rouge LA is $22.84 – $33.56 an hour. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers’ salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
