Timothy Pierce

Senior Civil Engineer

I had the opportunity to work on an HDD site for a few weeks, and that was the moment I realized trenchless technology was something unique, and the oil and gas industry would be a great field to be involved in.

Timothy works with the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) team, spending most of his time in the field doing construction monitoring and helping out at the office with reports and conceptual designs. “I enjoy the challenge that each individual project brings. Although there are similarities sometimes, each project requires its own unique twist and solution,” Timothy said.

It was during a college internship at GeoEngineers that Timothy became attracted to geotechnical work. “I had the opportunity to work on an HDD site for a few weeks, and that was the moment I realized trenchless technology was something unique, and the oil and gas industry would be a great field to be involved in,” he said.

Timothy completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2013 from Missouri University of Science and Technology through a cooperative program at Missouri State University, and after graduation he transitioned from intern to full-time employee.

On the weekends, you can find Timothy spending time outdoors fishing, golfing or working on his family’s farm. He also enjoys college football games, concerts and spontaneous road trips.
