I love working in a profession where I’m still learning after 30 years!

Marsi has been at the heart of our Oregon environmental team since 1994, and her deep experience with hazardous materials and related issues has been crucial for development and transportation projects across the Pacific Northwest. She helps our clients navigate project planning, property acquisition, and site investigation, and oversees remediation to repair environmental damage.

Marsi attributes some of her success to her ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. These skills are especially useful during the long timelines often required by the heavy infrastructure projects in Marsi’s portfolio. Marsi is especially proud of marquee projects like Sound Transit’s ongoing Federal Way Link Extension, a light rail project that she has been working on since 2017. She’s been offering environmental support for the project since the beginning, and enjoys the chance to follow it through until the end and see the impact it can make in the community.

Marsi is proud to work at a firm that cares about people and delivers high-quality work. This simple combination has worked so well for Marsi that she says she hopes to continue at GeoEngineers until her eventual retirement.

“At GeoEngineers there really is a culture of caring for one another and for the quality of work that we do,” Marsi says.

In her spare time, Marsi likes to unwind by cooking, taking leisurely walks, reading, immersing herself in audio books, and enjoying quality time with her family.
