Justin Orr

As a geologist in our Spokane office, Justin gets to work on a wide variety of projects. He spends a lot of his time in the field doing soil and groundwater sampling, explorations and data analysis—especially for environmental remediation projects.

“I’ve always enjoyed working outdoors,” Justin says, “and helping clean up contaminated sites and reducing our impact on the environment has always inspired me to work in this field.”

Justin’s background includes experience working as a research assistant on an oil reservoir characterization and recovery project. After graduating from Purdue University in 2016, Justin joined an environmental consulting firm in Indianapolis. His experience investigating sites in the Midwest gave Justin a good background in site contamination and classification, vapor intrusion and groundwater.

Justin enjoys the chance to work outside at many of his projects at GeoEngineers—a passion that also extends to his personal life. He loves camping, hiking and practicing his geology every chance he gets. Justin says his large rock collection is spread all over his apartment!
