- We install monitoring wells in dikes, brownfield sites and other locations to capture data on groundwater and potential contamination.
- Our understanding of fluvial geomorphology, the interactions between streams and soil, is fundamental to our river projects.
- We use computer modeling tools such as AERMOD to integrate source pollutant emission rates, meteorological data, and terrain data and estimate pollutant concentrations at downwind receptor locations.
- Our environmental investigations are the foundation for much of our remediation work, and the first step toward cleaning up contaminated soil.

Hydrogeology
Hydrogeology underpins much of our water resource work. It’s critical for us to understand the movement of groundwater. Whether it’s for drinking water supply or contaminant fate and transport, we use a range of methods and techniques to obtain the best data possible to characterize, model and perform reliable analytical and numerical evaluations. Our clients rely on our insight to support sustainable groundwater source development, aquifer protection, aquifer storage and recovery, and water reuse projects. Our hydrogeologists also work hand-in-hand with our river team to model and analyze hyporheic zone processes in rivers and wetlands to develop sustainable environmental restoration and remediation projects.
