GeoEngineers’ concrete and soil/materials lab in Spokane, WA, received another two years of accreditation by the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). A2LA—a nonprofit, non-government, public service, membership society—is one of the leading accreditation bodies in the construction materials and special inspection and testing industry.
A2LA accreditation is based on internationally accepted criteria for competence contained in ISO/IEC 17025. The audit is a three-day process that includes a rigorous review of:
- Calibration and functionality of laboratory and field equipment
- Qualifications of individual laboratory and field technicians
- Concrete and soil testing lab procedures
- Field practices and management
- Project file review
The lab’s Quality Assurance Manager Tim Barber is responsible for meeting A2LA compliance in all aspects of our special inspection and testing services.
