NAIOP Washington State, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, recognized exceptional regional projects during its annual Night of the Stars Gala earlier this month, and GeoEngineers played a role in several of them.
GeoEngineers provided construction observation services for the citizenM Seattle Pioneer Square hotel, which won “Hospitality Development of the Year.” The project team overcame a variety of site challenges to build the 10-story hotel in this iconic neighborhood.
NAIOP recognized Ryan Companies’ Mercer Park Office Renovation as its “Redevelopment/Renovation of the Year.” GeoEngineers performed an environmental site assessment and delivered geotechnical due-diligence and design services for the project, which successfully renovated and modernized a 155,599 square foot office building on Mercer Island, Washington.
Newly announced development projects also received attention. Unico’s acquisition and redevelopment of Boeing’s sprawling Longacres property in Renton, Washington earned NAIOP’s “Deal of the Year” Award. The 150-acre campus will be redeveloped as a mixed-use property with both commercial and community features. GeoEngineers is proud to be providing preliminary geotechnical services for this marquee project.
