Josh is a civil scientist at GeoEngineers, where he applies his civil engineering skills to support projects in the energy sector. He helps our clients work through permitting challenges for work in protected zones or near sensitive levees, and spends a lot of his time in the field performing explorations and planning projects.

Josh enjoys the variety of challenges he encounters in his daily work. He is often on the front lines of our project communication, helping contractors, clients, and senior GeoEngineers staff understand field conditions and results quickly. He values clear communication, believing it is essential to both his career and client relationships. As he puts it, “Communication is the skill that I believe is most helpful to my career and clients.”

Josh’s lifelong interest in the energy field led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was drawn to GeoEngineers for its positive culture and the engaging interview process.

“I like the culture and enjoyed my interview process and the people that I met,” Josh says. “This is a career I can see myself doing for a long time and enjoy at the same time.”

Josh plans to take his Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and work toward earning his Professional Engineer (PE) license. “I want to accomplish making a lasting impact on the company and the other employees of the Baton Rouge office,” he says.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Sydney, and their daughter, Leighton. His hobbies include cooking, gaming, hunting, and fishing.
