projects

Location
Spokane, WA

Teresa’s high school experience of touring beautiful old European buildings inspired her to study structural engineering with an eye to modernizing old American buildings rather than tearing them down. Once she began her coursework, however, she found that she was more attracted to the hands-on opportunities that geotechnical engineering provided.

At GeoEngineers, Teresa performs geotechnical engineering evaluations—from proposal to final report—and is a main client/owner contact for her projects. She says of GeoEngineers, “It’s the perfect blend of local company and regional employer. I get to use my local knowledge of the soils to help clients design their projects… And we have a very strong and diverse group of people that I can call at anytime with questions or to share ideas.” She values the broad variety of her projects, citing as examples current projects for a major railroad, transmission line, fish hatchery and low-income housing complex.

Teresa loves to be outdoors and active on weekends. She can often be found playing soccer or golf or training for her second half-marathon. Hanging out by a pool with her husband and two daughters is Teresa’s vision of the perfect leisurely day.
