Stefani works with staff throughout the company's Puget Sound offices to craft statements of qualifications and proposals to win projects across the country. She also plans client events, business development activities and supports other members of the marketing team to develop campaigns for niche services, new product launches and strategic investments, and occasionally provides billable project support.
“I’ve always really enjoyed using words to convey ideas and stories. I quickly found my studies in journalism and public relations to be a natural fit that has translated nicely to various roles in marketing in the AEC industry, and especially in communications that build business or reinforce and develop the GeoEngineers brand,” Stefani says.
One of the most rewarding projects Stefani says she worked on at GeoEngineers was a large, controversial environmental impact statement. “Working closely with the expert scientists, the project proponent and our graphic designer to produce a visually appealing, easy-to-digest, 300-plus page technical document was quite exciting,” she says.
Outside of work, Stefani enjoys spending time with her very large family. In the summers you can find her and her husband and their toddler outdoors boating around Vashon Island and South Puget Sound, letting their dog run on the beach, visiting local fairs and festivals and cheering on the Seattle Sounders. In the fall and winter you can find her indoors supporting her DVR addiction, cheering on the Seattle Seahawks, or visiting her sister in sunny Southern California.
