Kylee builds strategic communication plans to help strengthen current client relationships and build new ones. She does this through identifying business opportunities, preparing proposals, planning events and educating the Baton Rouge office on ways to improve communication efforts.
“Being a Baton Rouge native, the coastal, industrial and transportation development industries are very important here and I knew I wanted to be part of the success and growth,” Kylee says. “GeoEngineers is an innovative company that is always looking to do things a better way. Everyone here is very interested in each other’s work, and I have learned so much already about what has gone into many of the iconic structures in the area.”
A recent graduate of Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Kylee previously worked as an intern for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Southeast Louisiana. There she was responsible for both internal and external communications. “I knew very early on I had a love for all things communications,” she says. “I am naturally curious and always asking questions. It helps me to see things in a different way and bring a new perspective to the table.”
Outside of work, an important part of Kylee’s daily life is staying active, especially with CrossFit. “It helps me build a strong character and reminds me that no matter how hard certain goals may seem, anything is attainable with consistent work and progression,” she says. Along with her active lifestyle, Kylee enjoys cooking, entertaining friends and taking advantage of Louisiana’s great outdoors.
