As a young man, Darrin earned his pilot’s license and had planned to become a commercial pilot and earn a degree in meteorology. He did study meteorology in college, but then discovered geography and geographical information systems (GIS). “I switched my major to geography and have been working with GIS and other information systems ever since,” Darrin recounts. He spent the next 15 years working at large and small information technology (IT) solutions firms in California, Utah, Texas and Washington.
At GeoEngineers, Darrin is an Associate and the Applied Technology Group Leader for our Geospatial and Infrastructure services team. He oversees business development and manages service delivery for GIS, IT, asset management and system-integration projects.
Darrin says the thing he likes best about GeoEngineers is the people. “The people at GeoEngineers are incredible. They have created a culture of teamwork and professional excellence that encourages everyone to settle for nothing short of the best we can offer our clients. I’m proud to be a part of a company whose values so closely align with my own.”
In his leisure time, Darrin enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, fly fishing and spending time outdoors with his family.
