As a member of GeoEngineers’ technology team, Chris works closely with clients to create a high-level vision of their business needs, decide which technologies will work best and develop the right solutions to meet their challenges. Chris sees this as a highly creative process. “I have always enjoyed solving complex problems,” he reflected. “Integrating spatial data with key business information gives us a chance to see patterns and relationships that could not be seen using traditional methods.”

Chris notes that GeoEngineers’ technology team has the unusual advantage of working side by side with subject-matter experts in the earth sciences. “This collaboration means our technology solutions are field proven,” he observed. Chris also sees a real benefit in the diversity of clients and projects to which he is exposed. “The range of projects we tackle keeps my creative side going and enables me to leverage that experience to the benefit of my clients.”

In his off hours, Chris enjoys experiencing the wide-open landscapes of Central Oregon—ideally on his bike. “I’m an active cyclist and compete in marathon cycling events,” Chris said. “I enjoy rolling through open farm land, the rural countryside and high-mountain passes.”
