Bo is a Principal geotechnical engineer and engineering geologist. Working with property owners, and their developers and architects, Bo and his teams investigate the geological characteristics of commercial and residential development sites. Based on the teams’ findings and analyses, including seismic evaluations to predict how buildings may behave in earthquakes, Bo develops shoring and foundation design recommendations that help ensure buildings have stable foundations that will stand the test of time. He also works on river, levee and hydroelectric projects involving slope stabilization and landslide prevention.
Bo particularly enjoys selecting project teams whose technical skills and personality fit the project and client well. He also appreciates working with colleagues who value his team’s opinions and expertise. He says that GeoEngineers’ signature collaboration, camaraderie and forward-thinking philosophy earn clients’ trust and loyalty—and make GeoEngineers a good place to work.
Bo and his wife and college-age daughter are seasoned world travelers to far-flung destinations such as Vietnam, Peru and Nicaragua. Bo also loves mountain climbing, hiking, bicycling and kayaking and relaxes on road trips around the Western U.S.
