Jennifer feels thankful to have found a line of work in which she could turn her longtime interests in the environment and the outdoors into a job. As one of GeoEngineers’ staff biologists, she provides biological resources support for projects involving wetlands, including terrestrial and aquatic habitat investigations, ecological assessments and riparian restoration and mitigation projects. She also prepares applications and supporting materials for biological permits.

One of Jennifer’s memorable projects was the 34-Mile Transmission Line and Fiber Optic Cable Permitting and Critical Areas Assessment Project completed for Puget Sound Energy. “The field work itself took about a month to complete and the project spanned five jurisdictions. I was involved in the field work, wetland and stream reports, the mitigation plan and report and helped with other permitting documents. It was great to be involved with the project from start to finish and have a large role in completing it.”

To satisfy her love of traveling and meeting new people, Jennifer aims to visit every state at least once in her lifetime. Between trips, she enjoys sticking close to home and spending time with friends and family. “One of my favorite things to do is to curl up with a good book or watch a good movie.”
