Working on the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) team, Erek splits his time between construction monitoring and geotechnical explorations in the field and working on job proposals and reports in the office. “I like being a part of the HDD project from start to finish and watching it all come together,” Erek says.
A recent graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering, Erek said he interviewed with several oil and gas companies after college before deciding on GeoEngineers. “When I interviewed with GeoEngineers, they were very concerned with my personal interests, and they wanted to know more about me and my background,” Erek says. “They took the time to get to know me as a person, and I liked that.”
When not at work, you can find Erek in a duck blind on the beautiful Mississippi Delta in the winter months and on a boat wakeboarding or fishing in the summer months. All-year-round you can find him at the gym participating in his college pastime of bodybuilding. “It is a challenging sport that requires a lot of hard work and self-discipline, and that is why I am so passionate about it,” Erek says.
